Human Holocaust

Times are changing fast. While we were in 2020 and started facing severity of the pandemic, we though and prayed for the year to pass soon. Like any other tough time, that too passed. We thought things would be better and brighter after 2020. But passing through 2020 was more like walking on an unknown road we thought would lead to better world. But we got proved wrong. This year is even worst so far.

What made it worst is our agility on the learning from past. We saw tough times, we said to work upon personal hygiene, we said to be ready to live with this situation for next 5 years minimum, we analyzed that our medical infrastructure is not sufficient enough to handle mass level pandemic suffering, we understood that lateral supportive infra of oxygen, PPE kits, better equiped and informed medics and paramedics could help reversing the tough times.

The year passed and we relaxed ourselves of acting on the learning. We started believing that it's just 2020 was a bad year and 2021 would bring us back to normal, this assumptions were not backed by any logic and reasoning.

The worst phase of pandemic is not because of any further re-engineering in the virus strand but is because we enduced the mutation. We paved the path for virus to experiment with its own strength. Snd the virus is quite very successful in doing so.

I am one sufferer of the current situation where my dad got sudden rise in his blood sugar level and required immediate management of blood sugar by a specialist in ICU. We fortunately got a bed in a decent hospital in Patna but what we haven't got is a specialist who can guide paramedics in the treatment protocol. This led to the impact on his other organs. Fortunately we at least got some support to control the situation and took him out of danger. But the experience in last 3 days was quite emotional and eye opening.

In this entire journey, we realized that our medical infrastructure is not backed for even 15 days. We don't have sufficient beds, adequate equipment, required doctors and nursing staff, optimum quality of life saving drugs and oxygen and most importantly a vision towards improving it.

In last few days we are hearing casualties of citizen life mostly because of our perforated medical infrastructure. People are paying huge some of money just to save their near and dear ones. Few of the hospital aren't giving guarantee of better medical facilities but are big on asking for money. They immediately have converted their hospital from live giving temples to money minting factories. The one having power and approach are getting the medical help, rest all are leaving the world with bitter experience of the life in their last moments.  Visit any hospital and even if you are strong heart, you will melt and possibly breakdown. The situation is really very alarming. We should act fast to save the human and humanity else this time we are going to create a Holocaust that would surely be human made and not the natural one.
