Ricky was making his project work of drawing Galaxy. He was
on his study table working very hard in drawing this. He had learned about all
the planets.
Here it is, he made it and was looking very good. He thought
of sticking it over the board of his study room. The board was just above his
study table.
He made place for the poster he had prepared. He used paper pins
to fix it there. Wow, it was looking great. He used many colors to make planets,
satellite, the dust ring. He colored Earth Green, he made Saturn blue, He
painted Venus pink and Moon white and grey.
He was happy seeing his own work. He was feeling like he is
the owner of the Universe. He got tired doing this project in a go. He put his
head down on the desk and resting. He hasn’t realized when he went for the
sleep.
Ricky was playing football with his friends in a ground. It
was cloudy day. Thunderstorm was flashing very often. His friends got feared
and ran to their home. Ricky wanted to play a little more. He stayed in the
ground. He was playing with the football. He was hitting it and then running
behind the ball. This time he hit the ball a little harder and it went behind a
big tree surrounded by bushes. He walked to those bushes.
“Oh boy, what the heck is this?”
There was a huge spherical object standing there. A flat ring
was around the object. It was shining very bright and lot many lights were
there on that. Few of the lights were blinking at times.
“What is that?” Ricky was feared. He wanted to turn back and
run to home. He turned around and about to run, that swift sound he heard from
behind. There was a door in that spherical body. It opened with a swift sound.
A huge creature came out of that.
“Oh My God… who is he… what is that” Ricky’s heart was
pounding fast. He was so very feared that he started sweating. He was gulping
his spit. Feeling like so very thirsty.
He was tall like a giant. He had a great build, two smaller
ears, eyes small but quite mechanical and very muscular body. He was wearing a
dress that was more looking like a gadget. His mouth was big, till his ear. Oh,
what kind of alien is he?
That person gave him a calling signal. Ricky was really feared.
His legs were trembling. With his shaking legs, he started moving towards that
giant human. He reached quite near to him. He suddenly took his hand out from
the back. It was having Ricky’s football. Ricky got a little smile on his face
seeing his football. He came closer to him.
“Thank You! Who are you, what is your name?” He said to kill
his curiosity.
“I am R2117, I came from Saturn.”
“Saturn, the planet?” Ricky got surprised. “Means you are an
alien!”
“That’s what you call us.”
The voice of that alien was quite mechanical. Ricky started
enjoying talking to him. He wanted to know more about him.
“Why your name is R2117? We have simple name without number
in it. I am Ricky, my friend is Raj, Adwait, Shreeyansh. That simple.”
“I was born in the city called Roft in Saturn. We get our
initial as the city initial and every citizen there gets a number at the time
of birth. That’s why our name is like that.”
“Oh, Ok. This is unique way of naming people. Good to know.
But How come life is there in Saturn? I just read that there is no life in our
Galaxy other than Earth.”
“Why do you think so?”
“Because there is no Oxygen and Water there. These two are
important for any animal to survive.”
“Hahahaha. That’s what you have learned. But you know why
life came on Earth? And Who said Oxygen and Water are required for the living?
When first organism originated on Earth, it got adopted to the chemical
available on Earth. It was Oxygen and Water. Our planet is having Hydrogen and
Ammonia. We got adopted to breath Hydrogen and drink Ammonia.”
Ricky got confused hearing this. He hasn’t understood
anything said by the Alien R2117. He wanted to know more. He asked, “But I have
seen in movies most of the Alien are small in size. Why you are so big?”
R2117 smiled, “Our planet takes a rotation on its axis in 10
hour 30 minutes. So, we have 10.3 hour of the Day. But due to this fast speed,
we get a very high speed of wind, up to 1800 km/h. To stay in that wind, we
have everything bigger. Because of our bigger size and higher gravitational
force, we can easily withstand this speed.”
Again, Ricky could not understand all.
“But why did you come here?”
“You know we have more than 80 moons revolving around our
planet. We stole the moons of many planets and put that into our planet orbit.
We want to steal your moon too and take it to our planet.”
Ricky got surprised, “Why, no you can not take our moon, we
have only one.”
“You know the speed of our planet is high, so we are getting
very windy days. this is creating trouble in keeping our cloths dry. Also, when
we put any paper without the paperweight, it flies. We are fed up of this. So,
we are stealing moons of other planets and put that into our orbit. The
gravitational pull of the moons reduces the speed of our planet. This way we
can reduce the speed of wind there.”
“No, no, you cannot take our moon. This makes our night
beautiful. We love it. We have lots of stories around the moon. Our mother
worships the moon. We call it “Chanda Mama”. You cannot take our moon. I will
not let you take our moon. You will have to fight with me before taking our
moon to your planet.”
“Ricky… Ricky… What are you saying? Have you seen any bad
dream or what? Get up Ricky. You slept on your study table. Get up and go to
ground and play with your friend.”
His mother was trying to wake him up.
Oh. it was dream. Thank God, our moon
is still there with us. Ricky seized in relief.
